Renewed call for research participants

We’re looking for more UK participants to take part in our research project on women in fishing.

In this ongoing research project we’re hoping to understand how women contribute to sustaining fishing businesses, and we’d love to speak to women from any part of the United Kingdom.

We are looking for more women who, in some capacity, work in fisheries or support inshore and small boat fishing families in their community.

This could be through being a fisher; an owner or partner in a fishing business; working with fish in any capacity; running related businesses (such as restaurants, processing companies or marketing services); or by economically supporting the family through non-fisheries related work.

Interviews will be taking place in November and will last up to an hour. We’d like to ask questions about your experiences of being part of a fishing family or the industry, and can come to you at any time and place which is convenient.

If you’d like to take part, please get in touch via our contact page or contact Madeleine Gustavsson directly on m.c.gustavsson@exeter.ac.uk.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to discuss if you could be a suitable participant. Participation will be completely voluntary, and you can withdraw at any point in time.
