Connect
Start the conversation, become a member and meet other women in fisheries, in your region, and in your sector.
Take part in the conversation on Facebook
Our members network regularly and we have created an online group for all women who work in UK fisheries to share stories, support one another, and plan for the future. Anyone can take part in the conversation, from vessel owners, fleet managers, skippers and fishers, to fishmongers, processors, gutters, office workers, and women who are part of fishing families.
This page is private and moderated, and you will need a Facebook profile to join.
Spread the word on social media
To spread the word about the UK Women in Fisheries network, follow us on Twitter, Facebook page and Instagram (links below). You can tag @UKWIF in your Instagram posts, and add the hashtags ⧣UKWIF and ⧣womeninfisheries so that others can find us too.
Take part in events
UK Women in Fisheries Network members meet up regularly, both online and face to face. Sign up to events or advertise your own over on our dedicated events page. You can also subscribe to our newsletter for quarterly updates about our events.
Who can join?
UK Women in Fisheries was built to bring women together to provide opportunities, support and advocacy, therefore membership is only available to women. While membership is only open to women, men are welcome to purchase our branded merchandise and to wear it with pride, to support us via social media channels, and are welcome to join our occasional public webinars open to all.
