What impact will the network make, both to individuals, and for the fisheries sector? Who is the network for and why do we need a Network? How will we connect with other members and get involved, now and in the future? The latest research on women in fisheries, and what it means.
SPEAKERS:
Hannah Fennell, Head of Orkneys Fisheries Association, has kindly agreed to be our Chair for this event.
Tina Barnes, Head of Impact at The Seafarers’ Charity, will talk about the need for a women's network in the fisheries sector.
Our Guest Speaker and founder member, Madeleine Gustavsson, PhD, will explain the background to the research project, how it developed, and how UK Women in Fisheries was the result.
UK Women in Fisheries will show a short film about UK Women in Fisheries.
You can expect plenty of lively discussion and chat, with a question and answer session as well.
